ALBUMS
Live CDs
Four discs each featuring their own version of Pat's concerts in Philadelphia at the Tower Theater in 1988. Most likely taken from the Westwood One radio show, Superstars Concert Series.
Three different discs featuring material from the Album Network radio show, Live From Electric Ladyland.
Source material for We Live For Love, was a live radio broadcast from Fort Lauderdale, January 14, 1980. An interesting thing about this show was that it was interupted by a bomb threat, that turned out to be a hoax. It's Gonna Be Rated-X is taken from a live FM broadcast from the Agora in Cleveland, November 6, 1979. King Biscuit Flower Hour also aired this show. This CD however, does not have the KBFH voice overs and includes a local DJ introducing the show plus an additional song.
In the Heat of the Night, "Quality Live Concert Performance". A re-ordered version of the US King Biscuit disc, Greatest Hits Live, with out the fades between songs.. On the Disky label.
TRIBUTES
Tribute albums to which Pat has contributed include, Tribute to Edith Piaf and Harry Chapin Tribute. On the Edith Piaf disc, Pat performs "L'effect que tu me fais" or "The Effect You Have On Me". Other performers include Ann Wilson (of Heart), Juice Newton, Donna Summer, Cory Hart and Leon Russell among others. The photo , is from the liner notes.
The Harry Chapin Tribute is a live recording of performances at Carnegie Hall on December 7, 1987, in celebration of Harry being awarded The Special Congressional Medal of Honor for his relentless efforts to end world hunger and make a difference. Harry had touched the lives of all the performers in some way, and their performances demonstrate their love and respect for him. Pat performed a most beautiful and haunting version of Harry's "Shooting Star" that had to be a highlight of the evening. The above photo is from the Harry Chapin Tribute songbook, published by Cherry Lane.
Yakety Yak Take It Back, in a sense, is a tribute to Mother Earth. It's a project of the Take It Back Foundation to encourage waste reduction and conservation of our natural resources through recycling and reuse. Various artists including Pat contributed to a song and video as well as a series of public service announcements to increase awareness of these issues. These PSAs still air occasionally. The photo is from a small picture in the booklet that accompanies the video version of the CD. Pat also contributed a song to the Pediatric Aids Foundation project, For Our Children, and participated in the Artists United Against Apartheid as a featured performer on the Sun City single and video.
